Dear Beloved Son… “death”

Reaching out for the first book that my right hand touched, and reading the first part that my eyes perceived, I found gems to help one focus again:

SEVENTH COUNSEL

death

My dear son…

Live as long as you may, for verily you must die. Love whoever you wish, for one day you shall taste its separation. And do what you will, you will be rewarded accordingly.

[counsel from “Dear Beloved Son” by Imam Abu Hamid al-Ghazali]

Ya Allah, please don’t leave me for a second with my affairs as I am incapable of dealing with them without Your Guidance, Your Tawfeeq, and Your Sustainance. Ya Allah, please remove the veils from our eyes and heart such that we may reflect on Your Signs in order to strive to please You Only. Ya Allah. Ya Rahman. Ya Rahim. Ya Malik. Ya Quddus. Please accept us to see Your Final Unveiling. Allahumma Ameen.
