Advice from Habib ‘Ali al-Jifri (re: oppression in Gaza)

(sent to this student by a brother of truth)

Habib Ali advises the Muslims in general to read the following for the sake of the oppressed Muslims in Gaza (from Al-Qur’an, Surah al-Imran, 173 – 174):

To read once:

Men said to them: “A great army is gathering against you”: And frightened them: But it (only) increased their Faith: They said: “For us Allah sufficeth, and He is the best disposer of affairs.”

Then to repeat:

حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ

(450 times ideally, or at least 70 times, every evening)

Then to finish by reciting once:

فَانْقَلَبُوا بِنِعْمَةٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَفَضْلٍ لَمْ يَمْسَسْهُمْ سُوءٌ وَاتَّبَعُوا رِضْوَانَ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ ذُو فَضْلٍ عَظِيمٍ

And they returned with Grace and bounty from Allah: no harm ever touched them: For they followed the good pleasure of Allah: And Allah is the Lord of bounties unbounded.

Allahumma Ameen. Allahumma Ameen. Allahumma Ameen.

this is exactly what is required.as we the public simply do not know what to do.and only the shuyukh can help us.and tell us what we should do.rather than us going out onto the streets and yelling(protesting)like madmen.that is not the way for the muslim to behave.if muslims have a petition to make, they must enter the masaajid and beseech Allah.

thanks sister, although you might enlarge the arabic text, as they’re crowding on each other – give a bit more space between each line, if you could, to make it more readable.

    jazak Allah khayran

Thank you Brother Dawud for the reminder. I’ve done my best to enlarge the font size. Insha’Allah it’s more readable now.

Protesting has its use. Were it not for protesting there would be less media attention, and were it not for media attention there would be less awareness and less political pressure for this atrocity. Allahuallam.

    @cheeru

    There is also this hadith:
“Whosoever of you sees an evil action, let him change it with his hand; and if he is not able to do so, then with his tongue; and if he is not able to do so, then with his heart – and that is the weakest of faith.” Hadith in al-Bukhari

I am not disputing that the above is a sound advise. But at the same time I do not think Muslims and other people speaking out against injustice is a bad thing.

what a great Ayah, remembering of Allah is really a great thing as much as we can, but specifying a number can only be done by an evidence from the book of Allah or the way of his messenger.Jazakom Allah khair
